This canvas painted by Stephane Delapree, represent four monks, and a little girl holding her cat, walking in front of Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a temple city located in northwest Cambodia, in South-Est Asia. Angkor was the capital oh the Khmer Empire. The temple is admired for for the grandeur and harmony of its architecture. It is the largest religious structure of a temple complex in the the world. The temple was built in the early 12th century. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to thexwest. Originally constructed as a personal mausoleum for the great King Suyavarnam, dedicated to Indu god Vishnu, it was converted toca Buddhist temple towars the end of 12th century.
